There's a lot to be said for flipping the burger at the right time, hence Tyler's entrance to the world of crooning. The ad-hoc ensemble presented on this disc arose from sheer inspiration and no small amount of willpower. Members located on opposite sides of an Atlantic? -no problem. A singer who hasn't sung jazz in a decade? -but of course, besides not at all, I'm sure. One tiny 2010s (anno 1900) Manhattan apartment brought this cast of characters into an orbit, over which they routinely hover once the swingin' note's struck. Mary B's day is definitely an occasion, and the Tyler Bernhardt Trio rose to it. Just listen. Have one of whatever you like, on the apartment. Why the deuce not? Be quietly boisterous whenever you can, keep that foot tapping, and your jaw leisurely dropping.
